This petition is filed seeking extension of time to comply with the directions contained in the order dated 12.02.2026, passed in WP No.3 of 2026.

While disposing of the writ petition, this Court had passed the following order:

“3. Having considered the submission of learned counsel for the parties, it is directed that the building shall be desealed and within a period of two months from the date of desealing, the petitioner shall remove the deviated portion/construction. Immediately thereafter, the Corporation shall inspect the building and if the deviation is found to be removed, then no further action would be required. However, in case the deviation has not been removed, the building shall be immediately re-sealed.”

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in compliance of the order, the following work for demolition has already been undertaken:

“9. I submit that the building was de-sealed on 11.03.2026. The electricity connection was given after 10 days that too single phase. Thereafter, the following work was done:

a) 4th floor Internal walls, partitions, falls ceiling, electrical and plumping lines etc. - fully demolished

¶34

b) 3 rd floor - falls ceiling, internal walls - fully demolished

¶35

& - Roof-slab 50% demolished.

¶36

c) Pending works: 50 % of roof slabs to be removed and other minor works.”

Learned counsel submitted that 70% of the building has

already been demolished and the time granted to complete the demolition is running short. Therefore, further two months’ time may be granted.

¶42

Learned counsel for the respondents have no objection for the

¶43

time being extended for another two months.

¶44

In view of the aforesaid undertaking that the order shall be complied with in full, we are inclined to extend the time by two months from today. It is made clear that no extension of time would be granted.
