(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN , J. )

This Habeus Corpus Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenu namely S.Narmatha, elder daughter of the M.Santhanam aged 24 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

The petitioner is the father of the detenue Narmatha who is aged about 24 years. While being so, on 12.12.2025 the victim girl was missing from her house and thereby he lodged a complaint before the second respondent, however no steps were taken by the respondents, hence the petitioner was constrained to file this petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecution, on instructions, submitted that the daughter of the petitioner Narmatha was aged about

24 years and she fell in love with one Jeyapratap and they got married and therefore the petitioner's family threatened them hence the said Narmatha lodged a complaint before the All Women Police Station, Anna Nagar Police Station, Madurai and she was issued CSR No.311 of 2025 on 15.12.2025. On the date itself the petitioner was called for enquiry and he made statement before the Inspector of Police stating that he will not disturb them in future and thereafter the petitioner has filed this petition on 18.12.2025. Infact suppressing the said fact the petitioner lodged complaint before the second respondent on 16.12.2025. That apart the petitioner has sent a complaint to the second respondent through registered post, wherein he has made allegations that the second respondent is not taking steps to secure the daughter of the petitioner.

Admittedly the daughter of the petitioner is aged about 24 years. She fell in love with one Jeyapratap and got married him. Infact she also lodged a complaint before the Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Anna Nagar Police Station, Madurai District seeking

police protection at the hands of the petitioner and his family members.

Suppressing all those facts the petitioner has filed this petition.

In view of the same, the Habeus Corpus Petition stands dismissed with exemplary cost of Rs.5000/- payable by the petitioner to the Legal Services Authority attached to this Bench within a period of

one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
