The petitioner is the father of the detenu viz., Balamurugan, son of Sudalaikannu, aged about 33 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in Detention order in P MHS Confdl. No.76 of 2025 dated 27.06.2025 holding him to be a "sexual offender", as contemplated under Section 2(ggg) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this habeas corpus petition.
2. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the

respondents. We have also perused the records produced by the Detaining Authority.

remand was served to the detenu and it revealed that the cause title portion alone was in English but the subject matter is in Tamil. The order of remand was also in English but it was properly translated and served to the detenu.

9.In view of the same this Court finds no infirmity or illegality to quash the order of detention passed by the second respondent and the same is liable to be dismissed.
10. In the result, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands
dismissed.
