This Criminal original Petition is filed to de-freeze the petitioner’s account bearing No.43035350081 maintained with the second respondent bank on the basis of the petitioner’s representation dated 21.12.2025.

The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner is an innocent person and he did not know how a sum of Rs.1,44,000/- came into his account and since it is stated to be the money belonging to a victim, the petitioner’s Bank account was freezed and the said

money is also withdrawn from the account and is settled on the victim. Even thereafter, the freeing of the bank account continues and therefore the petitioner is before this Court.

When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate would submit that apart from the above case, there is also yet another case in which the learned Judicial Magistrate, Puducherry has also ordered to freeze the Bank account of the petitioner.

Bank would submit that apart from the Rs.1,44,000/- there are two other request which was made for a sum of Rs.28,40,000/- and another sum of Rs.1,00,000/which is said to have been deposited into the petitioner’s Bank Account and even as on date the said amounts have not yet been satisfied by the bank by transferring the amount dues.

In view of the said submission the case of the petitioner cannot be accepted and the petition stands dismissed. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
