While ordering interim custody of the two wheeler bearing registration

number TN 07 DP 2580, the Trial Court directed the petitioner to execute a bond for Rs.1,00,000/- and with two sureties for the like sum.

The learned counsel for the petitioner pleads hardship as the amount is higher. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the vehicle is of the is of year 2025, May and considering the value given in the insurance policy, the sum is correctly imposed by the Trial Court.

Considering the hardship pleaded, I am of the view that instead of Rs.1,00,000/-, it can be modified as Rs.50,000/-. In view there of, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The condition imposed in paragraph 7(i) of the order dated 03.06.2026 in Crl.M.P.No.3373 of 2026 shall stand modified as Rs.50,000/- instead of Rs.1,00,000/-. The other conditions shall remain same as in the order of the Trial Court.
