The prayer in this Criminal Original Petition is to quash the First

Information Report in Cr.No.90 of 2026 on the file of the first respondent.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Public

Prosecutor (Puducherry) for the first respondent would submit that the investigation is already complete and that a Final Report has also been filed on 02.06.2026, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Karaikal, and that it is yet to be taken on file.

In view thereof, keeping it open for the petitioner to take all pleas during the trial or against the Final Report filed as the case may be, if he chooses to, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
