The petitioner has been convicted by the Fast Tract Mahila Court, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari in CA.No.79 of 2016, for the offence under Section 341 IPC and he has been imposed with a fine of Rs.250/-, in default to undergo 1 month simple imprisonment and he has been convicted under Section 506(i) IPC and he has been imposed with a fine of Rs.500/-, in default to undergo 4 months simple imprisonment. Challenging the same has filed an appeal before this court in CrlA(MD)No.12236 of 2026 and it has also been admitted by this court on 25.06.2026. Along with the appeal, the petitioner has filed this petition to suspend the sentence.

2.When this petition has been taken up for hearing, it is reported on either side that the petitioner has already paid the fine amount. The learned Government Advocate submits that the grounds raised by the
