This petition has been filed seeking extension of time by a further period

of six months to file the final report, as per the direction given by this Court in its order dated 12.11.2025 made in Crl.M.P.No.21158 of 2025 in Crl.O.P.No.17645 of 2025.

The learned Additional Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner Police

have made substantial progress in the investigation by identifying the suspected vehicle and recording the statements of the witnesses. He further submitted that the suspected vehicle is from another State. Hence, he seeks further six months time to complete the investigation.

The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that the case pertains to a hit-and-run incident and that the complaint was lodged as early as in 2024. Hence, she requested that a direction may be issued to the petitioner to complete the investigation and file the final report expeditiously.

Considering the submissions made on both sides and taking into account the progress of investigation, the time already granted by this Court is extended by a further for a period of six months from today. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous petition is ordered.
