This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent for having

wilfully and deliberately disobeyed the order of this Court passed in Crl.O.P.No.9004 of 2025 dated 26.03.2025, thereby directing the respondent 1 / 4

Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.17 of 2025 pending on his file and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of that order.

2.Today when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that as directed by this Court, the respondent has completed the investigation in Crime No.17 of 2025 and closed the case as “Action Dropped” and prepared R.C.S.Notice No.28 of 2025 dated 29.07.2025 and served the R.C.S.Notice to defacto complainant and filed a final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Sholingur, on 28.10.2025, and the same is yet to be taken on file. He also produced an affidavit of the respondent dated 11.03.2026 before this Court to that effect.
