When this Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing today, it is

brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents/contemners that the Hon’ble Division Bench

of this Court, while disposing of the Writ Appeal No.1014 of 2026 filed against the Order passed in W.P.No.32155 of 2014 dated 03.02.2025, vide 1/4

Cont.P.No.1083 of 2026 it’s Judgment daetd 08.06.2026 had granted the respondents/contemners herein 12 weeks’ time to comply with the Order passed in the aforesaid Writ Petition.

The learned Government Advocate for the respondents/contemners further submits that the webcopy of the Judgment passed in the aforesaid Writ Appeal dated 08.06.2026 was uploaded in the High Court webportal only on 18.06.2026 and that the enlarged time limit of 12 weeks’ as granted by the Hon’ble Division Bench would expire only on 17.09.2026.

3. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents, submitting as above, contended that the respondents/contemners would comply with the Order passed in W.P.No.32155 of 2014 on or before 17.09.2026.

In view of the aforesaid assertion made before this Court and taking note of the fact that the Hon’ble Division Bench thought it appropriate to enlarge the time to comply with the Order passed in the Writ Petition dated 03.02.2025 by a period of three months and the said time limit is said to expire on 17.09.2026, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping this Contempt Petition on the file of this 2/4

Cont.P.No.1083 of 2026 Court, particularly, having regard to the fact that the respondents are now duty bound to comply with the Order passed in the aforesaid Writ Petition in the light of the Judgment passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench in the aforesaid Writ Appeal.
