The petitioner is the grandmother of the minor, Nishwanth, whose passport expired on 04.07.2024. It appears that the petitioner filed an application for renewal of the passport. Considering the fact that the earlier application has already been

closed, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh application along with Annexure-C (duly signed and notarized) with the consent of the minor's mother i.e., the petitioner's daughter. An affidavit of the petitioner's daughter, Chinthamani shall be filed stating the marital status of the husband and wife. The said affidavit shall be filed while visiting the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Regional Passport Office (RPO) for verification. If such an affidavit is filed by the petitioner, the passport application shall be scrutinized and the passport shall be renewed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 15 days from the date of such application.
