The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents No.1 and 2 to issue appointment order to the petitioner based on the provisional selection list issued by the 1 st respondent and subsequently send him for training for the post of Grade-II Police Firemen along with his batch mates with effect from the date of original selection by considering the representation sent by the petitioner on 04.02.2025 within the time period stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner participated in the selection process pursuant to the notification issued by the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board to the post of Grade-II Police Constable. He successfully cleared the written

examination and document verification was conducted on 07.02.2024. His name was placed in the final selection list for the post of Fireman. But appointment order was not issued to him due to involvement in a criminal case. On 13.01.2025, he personally approached the 4 th respondent and submitted a representation along with the order copy, dated 08.01.2025 in Crl.OP(MD)No. 20974 of 2024 passed by this Court and requested to issue appointment letter and send him to training along with his batchmates. There is no action on behalf of the 4 th respondent. On 04.02.2024, he sent a representation to the 2 nd respondent. For that also, there is no response. Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents, he filed this writ petition.

3. During the course of hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the representation, dated 13.01.2025 submitted by the petitioner has been considered by the 4 th respondent and it is rejected vide proceedings, dated 19.02.2025.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Advocate General for the Additional Government Pleader and perused the material records.

Having heard the submissions of the learned Additional Advocate General and on perusal of the material available on records, it discloses that the representation submitted by the petitioner personally on 13.01.2025 is pending for consideration before the 4 th respondent herein till today. The proceedings, dated 19.02.2025 which was placed before this Court by the Additional Advocate General did not disclose whether the representation of the petitioner has been considered or not. It appears, it is some communication sent to the petitioner by the 4 th respondent as per the report of the Superintendent of Police concerned.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, as the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.01.2025 is still pending with the 4 th respondent, in my considered view, it is appropriate to direct the 4 th respondent to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner.
