Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.2 herein to rectify the petitioner son name as ,[cphe;j; md;g/ instead of ,[cpe;j; md;g/ and include the Postal Pincode - 630 610 in the Birth Certificate dated 16.02.2019 issued by the 2nd respondent on the basis of the representation dated 27.11.2024 within the stipulated time period in accordance with law and pass such further or other orders as this Hon'ble Court.

“By an order dated 19.02.2025, this writ petition was disposed of by this Court with a direction to the respondents to correct the name of the petitioner's son as “ ,[cphe;j; md;g/ instead of “,[cpe;j; md;g/” within a period of two weeks from the date of the order and posted the matter to today “for reporting compliance”.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.R.Anbunidhi, learned counsel appearing for the respondents, has produced a copy of the proceedings of the Assistant Health Officer, Madurai Corporation, dated 08.03.2025, to the effect that the name change has been effected.
