Considering the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, with

the consent of the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner seeks issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 2^nd respondent to dispose of the revision petition filed by the petitioner

dated 01.10.2024.

The case of the petitioner is that his father and his uncle were in possession and enjoyment of the property comprised in S.No.526/3 Kalappakulam Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, measuring to an extent of 1 acre and 16 cents. They have also obtained UDR patta in their favour. The family members of the petitioner have also engaged in agricultural

activities and they have been in absolute possession and enjoyment of the subject property.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that his paternal uncle has executed a sale deed in respect of the 58 cents behind the back of the petitioner and his father. The purchaser has also proceeded to mutate patta in his name and based upon the same, the said purchaser is attempting to interfere with the possession and enjoyment of the subject property.

The petitioner has made an application to the 3^rd respondent to cancel the patta issued in favour of the 5^th respondent. However, the same was rejected on 26.09.2022, as against which a revision was preferred before the 2^nd respondent on 01.10.2024. This revision petition is sought to be disposed of as expeditiously as possible by way of a relief in the present writ petition.
