By asserting that the land in survey Nos.605B/2A1A1 and 600/1B2 of an aggregate extent of 3.2 hectares is a family property, the petitioner had applied for a survey by relying on the pattas.

Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for both the respondents. He submits that notice would be issued to the joint pattadars in patta No.2016 before a decision is taken on the petitioner's request.

Patta No.7529 in respect of survey number 605B/2A1A1 is a separate patta in the petitioner's name in respect of the property ad measuring 2 hectares 59.50 ares. Patta No.2016 is a joint patta in the names of six individuals. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that they are members of a family and that the total extent may be measured.

Considering the aforesaid, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request for

a survey after issuing notice to all the pattadars under patta No.2016 and to owners of relevant adjacent lands. Objections, if any, from the said persons shall be taken into account before a decision is taken. The entire process shall be concluded within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Revenue officials may avail the assistance of the jurisdictional police, if necessary.
