Prayer: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the petitioners pension lumpsum amount of Rs.70,000/- along with the interest rate of 8 per cent per annum for the belated period from 31.03.2018 to till date based on the representation dated 28.04.2025 which was given in person, within a stipulated period as fixed by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to disburse the petitioners pension lumpsum amount of Rs.70,000/- along with the interest rate of 8 per cent per annum for the belated period from 31.03.2018 to till date based on the representation dated 28.04.2025 which was given in person.

Today, when the matter is taking up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that out of the petitioner's pension lumpsum amount of Rs.70,000/-, a sum of Rs.50,000/- has been disbursed to the petitoner. He further submits that the balance amount of Rs.20,000/- is yet to be paid to the petitioner and the same would also be disbursed within a period of one month.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner would also acknowledge the disbursement of Rs.50,000/- to the petitoner.

of, with a direction to the respondents to disburse the balance amount to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today. The petitioner is also at liberty to make representation for the interest, if he is so advised.
