Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.06.2025 for inclusion of the petitioner's village in the Pudukkottai District Gazette, and consequently, to grant permission to conduct the Vadamadu Manjuvirattu Cultural event scheduled to be held on 13.07.2025 in connection with the 268th Gurupooja of Maaveeran Alagumuthu Kone, at Niramangalam Village, Karuvoor, Aavudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukkottai District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is a resident of Karuvoor Village. He wants

permission to conduct the petition mentioned event in his village

annually. But the said village has not been notified in the district gazette.

The petitioner is permitted to submit an application before the third respondent. The third respondent will consider the said request and pass an appropriate order on merits under Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Jallikattu Act, 2009 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I have not gone into the merits of the matter.
