This writ petition is filed challenging the proceedings of the third respondent, dated 04.08.2025, wherein the respondent - Corporation has sought for certain documents from the petitioner to ascertain as to whether there is any building violation in the subject property. Since the impugned notice is not specific and it is bereft of details, the same has been challenged in this writ petition.

2. On 08.12.2025, when the matter came up for consideration, after hearing the learned for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent – Corporation, this Court found that the respondent – Corporation, soon after issuing the impugned notice dated 04.08.2025, has put up flex boards in the subject property claiming ownership over the portion of the subject property, which is in occupation of the petitioner. Hence, this Court directed the respondent – Corporation to remove the flex boards put up by them in the subject property and also directed the petitioner to produce all the documents sought by the respondent – Corporation under the impugned notice within a period of three days.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is reported by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent – Corporation that the petitioner has produced the documents and the based on the documents, further proceedings will be initiated by the respondent – Corporation and he also informed that the flex boards put up by the respondent – Corporation have already been removed.

4. Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner also confirms that the flex boards put up by the respondent – Corporation have already been removed and the petitioner has also produced the documents before the respondents.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the respondent – Corporation has proceeded with the matter in accordance with law, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent – Corporation that till the proceedings are completed, no coercive steps shall be taken on presumption against the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
