Heard both sides.

The petitioner challenges the Form-III notice dated 18.07.2025. It is not in dispute that survey No.57/7 has been classified as water channel. The Hon'ble Division Bench had issued a continuing mandamus for clearing all the encroachments in Kumbakonam in a PIL filed by one Elephant Rejendran. Since the character of survey No.57/7 is not in dispute, we are not in a position to interfere in the matter. It is admitted that the petition-mentioned premises is presently vacant. Therefore, the question of granting time does not arise. This writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
