This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned counsel for the respective official respondents.

The petitioners belong to the fisherman community residing in and around Pudupattinam Village, Pudukkottai District. Their present grievance is that their fishing rights have been compromised in absence of the election for Councilor. Accordingly, a representation was submitted to the first respondent on 27.06.2025 by the first petitioner, seeking restoration of law and order in R. Pudupattinam Village.

The representation of the first petitioner, dated 27.06.2025, was preceded by a Peace Committee Meeting held on 23.06.2025, pursuant to the direction issued by this Court in W.P.(MD) No. 433 of 2025, dated 29.01.2025.
