This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the second respondent to grant permission for conducting Palalayam Kumbabishekam in the Arulmigu Sri Semanagar Vadivelavar alias Subramania Swamy Temple, Konapattu, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.05.2025.

The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submits that the Archeologist have visited the Temple and have forwarded the report and now the report is pending before the State Level and Regional Level Export Committee constituted by this Court, which has to pass appropriate orders.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that only minor work such as painting has to be done and there is no proposal for any new construction.
