The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2 nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's petition dated 17.12.2024 filed to register the death of the petitioner's mother Rajammal

within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner's mother died on 01.10.1989. Inadvertently, the petitioner failed to obtain the death certificate. However, now, he has applied for the death certificate. The respondents have also received the same and have initiated proceedings, vide notice, dated 19.12.2024.

3.The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.12.2024, after conducting enquiry, furnish the death certificate. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
