The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to rectify the revenue records in respect of the land situated in Survey No. 254/1 in Thavasikkuruchi Group, Kamuthi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering his representation dated 12.10.2022.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.I.Saliyakhan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.According to the petitioner, the subject property was originally allotted to the petitioner's father in a family partition dated 21.12.1966. After death of the petitioner's father, the other legal heirs executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner on 21.07.2022. Thus, the petitioner claims absolute right over the subject property. However, the revenue records, which originally stood in the name of petitioner's father's elder brother, Krishna Thevar, have been wrongly mutated in favour of his sons and grandson, namely, Mohasundaram, Rajagopalan and Ramakrishnan. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation

on 12.10.2022 before the second respondent, seeking correction of the revenue records, based on the partition deed and settlement stated supra. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.10.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the above mentioned Mohasundaram, Rajagopalan and Ramakrishnan. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
