This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to shift the High Tension Electric Poles from the petitioner's land in survey No. 810/1B at Aalamanayakkarpatti Village, A.Karisalkulam Panchayat, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Thirunelveli District at the cost of their respondent.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is informed that the transformer has been installed as early as in the year 1961. However, considering the fact that the petitioner has sent a representation dated 14.06.2019, only to shift the high tension electric poles, the same shall be considered and disposed of.

Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.06.2019 and pass a speaking order on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
