Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to extend the emergency leave to the period of 5 days to the petitioner's father namely, Kanagarajan S/o.Baskaran who is convict prisoner in a cheating case in CP.No.9195 and languishing at Central Prison, Madurai, for the past 1½ years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2025.

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to extend the emergency leave for 5 days to the petitioner's father namely, Kanagarajan S/o. Baskaran who is a convict prisoner in a cheating case in CP.No.9195 and languishing at Central Prison, Madurai, for the past 1½ years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2025.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public

Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 10.12.2025, seeking extension of emergency leave, has been considered and rejected by the 2^nd respondent by order dated 13.12.2025.

In view of the same, the direction sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. However, the petitioner is at liberty challenge the order of rejection in the manner known to law, if so advised.
