This writ petition is filed to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 3 to 5 to restrain 6th and 7th respondent from conducting the event named “Grand Silambam World Record” in the name of the Tamil Nadu Silambaatam Association and Indian Silambam (Stick Fencing) Federation on 12.01.2025 Tiruchirapalli by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.01.2025.
2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing on either side would submit that nothing further would survive since the date is also over and the event appears to have been conducted.

3. In view thereof, keeping open the rights of the parties with reference to any other grievance, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
