The grievance of the petitioner is that sewage water is over flowing and

thereby, the entire stretch of Sabari Salai, Madipakkam, Chennai is flooded. He states that the stagnant raw sewage/sanitary sewer over flow has become an area for growth of pathogens, bacteria, viruses and other parasites. Despite his complaint, no action has been initiated. Hence, he is before this Court.

When the matter came up for admission Ms.Vasatha Mala, learned

Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the 2^nd respondent took notice. On her instructions, the area has been cleared and as it is evident from the photographs scanned and extracted hereunder:

Ms.Vasantha Mala states that the area will be kept free from any further

over flow. The grievance of the petitioner that the manhole in front of his house is broken. This too would be rectified by the 2^nd respondent, so states Ms.Vasantha Mala.

Recording the statements made by the learned Standing Counsel, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
