In all these four writ petitions, the grievance expressed by the writ petitioners is that they are poor and are qualified to receive an allotment from the first respondent in respect of a tenement which they have built at Zone II, GM Pet Scheme, Royapuram Chennai – 600 013.

When the matter came up for admission, Mr.G.Sivakumar , the

learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that whether the petitioners are eligible or not and whether a tenement is available, instructions have to be obtained from the first respondent.

At the admission stage, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of

the petitioner would submit that the matters can be left open for the decision of the respondents and that the representation can be directed to be considered.

In view thereof, these writ petitions are disposed of on the following

(i) The respondents shall consider the representations of the petitioners requesting them to allot a tenement in accordance with their rules and procedures and pass orders thereon, in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt/production of the website uploaded copy of this order without waiting for the certified copy of the order.
