Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 01.04.2024 wherein the petitioners are seeking for the change in classification of the property from “Sarkar Poramboke” to “private patta land”.

Heard Mr.A.Sundara Vadhanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3.

The specific case of the petitioners is that the petitioners purchased the subject property by virtue of a registered sale deed dated 27.01.2025. When the petitioners verified the TSLR, they found that the names of one Angammal and one Rani had been included. Hence, the petitioners submitted an application to cancel the names of those persons in the revenue records. Thereafter, it was also ascertained that the property has been categorised as “Sarkar Poramboke”. Hence, the petitioners submitted a representation to the respondents on 01.04.2024 seeking for change in the classification of the property.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of

the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there

shall be a direction to the 1^st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 01.04.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any other interested persons, notice shall be issued before passing final orders.
