The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to appoint the petitioner as the licensed auctioneer for Vellore Division, under Pawn Broker Act, 1943.

The petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.11.2024 before the respondent seeking his appointment as licensed auctioneer along with police verification report. However, the respondent has not considered the representation till date and hence the petitioner has come before this court.

Mr.G.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate, who takes

notice for respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 19.11.2024 will be disposed of on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a time stipulated by this court.
