Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 3^rd respondent to cancel thew wrong patta issued to the Road and park area as Patta Nos.4217, 4218, 4219, situated Eastern Side at Santhi Nagar, No.26, Perumbakkam Village, Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpet District by considering the representation dated 26.3.2025, within the time to be stipulated by this Honble Court.

Writ of Mandamus has been filed to direct the 3^rd respondent to cancel the patta issued against the public Road. High Court cannot conduct a roving enquiry in respect of the ownership of lands. For cancellation of patta, the petitioner has to approach the Revenue Divisional Officer under the provisions of Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act, 1983. The Revenue Divisional Officer has to conduct an enquiry by affording opportunity to all the parties and take a decision on merits and in accordance with law by passing orders.
