By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is

taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is

sought to be granted, notice to respondents 4 and 5 are dispensed with.

2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2 nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2025 and issuance of patta in favour of petitioner in respect of the property comprised in S.No.532/17, situated at Pasumbalur South Village, Veppanthattai Taluk, Perambalur District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is the absolute owner of the above mentioned property and the same was purchased under a registered Sale Deed dated 20.01.2011. It is

further submitted that ever since purchase, petitioner has been in continuous possession of the subject property.

4.It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner submitted a representation dated 21.02.2025 seeking issuance of patta. However, the above representation has not been considered by the respondents 1 to 3 till date. Aggrieved by the same, petitioner has come before this Court.

5.At the outset, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3 would submit that petitioner may have to submit an online application for issuance of patta. He would further submit that if any online application is submitted in the appropriate manner/prescribed format and after paying appropriate fees, the same would be considered and orders would be passed in accordance with law within the time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

6.In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to submit an online application for issuance of patta in appropriate manner in prescribed format and on payment of appropriate fees. If any such application is filed by the petitioner, the concerned 3/6

respondent shall consider and dispose of the same after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, respondents 4 and 5 and any other interested party/rival claimants, if any, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of filing of such application by the petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
