By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the 3 rd respondent to consider the petitioner's online application for transfer of patta bearing No.2025/0105/32/420988 dated 09.06.2025 in respect of Patta No.1002, comprised in S.No.1585/1A1, measuring an extent of 22 ½ cents, situated at Sankarandampalayam Village, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District.

3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner's husband viz., Easwaramoorthy purchased property comprised in S.Nos.1583/3, 1585/1A and 1585/2A, measuring an extent of 2.15.0 ares, situated at Sankarandampalayam Village, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District, under a Sale Deed dated 16.07.2010, registered as Document No.7867 of 2010, before the Sub Registrar Office, Dharapuram.

that ever since purchase, petitioner's husband has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the said property. Subsequently, on 28.06.2024, petitioner's husband executed a Settlement Deed, registered as Document No.5590/2024 in favour of petitioner, settling 22 ½ cents of land comprised in S.No.1585/1A. The petitioner submitted online application for transfer of patta on 09.06.2025 in favour of petitioner. However, the said application has not been considered by the respondents till date. Aggrieved by the same, petitioner has come before this Court.

5.At the outset, learned Government Advocate for respondents would submit that the application dated 09.06.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law, within the time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view thereof, considering facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to 3 rd respondent, to consider the petitioner's application dated 09.06.2025 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the

petitioner, Easwaramoorthy and any other interested persons/rival claimants, if any, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
