These Writ Petitions have been filed to call for the records of the

fourth respondent dated 04.01.2018 in reference

No.Na.Ka.No.1530/2015/w and to quash the same and direct the respondents to regularise the petitioners with continuity of service as Plot Watchers with all monetary benefits due to them.

2 . Heard Mr.K.M.Ramesh, learned Senior Counsel for P1 and Mr.UM.Ravichandran, learned counsel for P2 to P4, Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3 . Despite the petitioners have filed these Writ Petitions

challenging the impugned order rejecting the representation of the petitioners for regularisation, when the matter is taken up today, the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners would not press the relief of regularisation, if they have atleast paid with the wages for the period in work.

4. In the impugned order itself, it has been stated that the pending

wages of the petitioners will be disbursed through the contractors and for

¶45

which, funds have been requested from the Government.

¶46

5 . In such case, it shall be appropriate to direct the respondents

¶47

atleast to take effective steps to settle the dues of the Contractors and that the Contractors shall pay the wages to the petitioners.

¶48

6. In the result, these Writ Petitions are disposed and the respondents are directed to take effective steps to settle the dues of the Contractors. On receiving such payment, the contractors shall disburse the pending wages to the petitioners. No costs.
