This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to defreeze the petitioner's bank account bearing No. 090100050308445 maintained with the second respondent bank.

When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner is an accused in the case and the bank account was frozen for the purpose of investigation. Now that the investigation has been completed, the continued freezing of the account is no longer necessary. Therefore, the first respondent will issue a request to the second respondent bank, after which the account will be defrozen.

In view thereof, by recording the said submission and further directing the first respondent to issue such a request to the second respondent bank within one week from the date of receipt of the web copy of this order, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
