This petition has been filed to direct the Inspector of Police,

Kodungaiyur Police Station, the 3^rd respondent herein to find out and produce their brother Bala Kamatchi @ Balaji, who is missing from the year 2020.

2. On the complaint lodged by the 4^th respondent, alleging that her

brother, Bala Kamatchi @ Balaji, is missing since 09.12.2020, the 3^rd respondent registered the F.I.R in Crime No. 1542 of 2020 under 'man missing.' Thereafter, the 3^rd respondent published his photograph in and around the locality. Though the petitioner impleaded the 4^th respondent, who is the wife of

reason behind the petitioner's brother missing. In fact, it was the 4^th respondent who lodged the complaint and based on that complaint, the 3^rd respondent registered the F.I.R. Further, during enquiry, no relevant information was obtained from the 4^th respondent regarding the whereabouts of her husband. Therefore, the direction sought by the petitioner cannot be considered since the investigation is still pending.

3. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The 3^rd respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report within a period of 16 weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
