petitioner is that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner/de facto complainant, a case in Crime No.50 of 2012 was registered by the respondent against the accused persons on 27.07.2012. After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed and taken cognizance in the year 2016 in C.C.No.56 of 2016 before the learned Judicial Magistrate-II, Chengalpattu. However, despite the lapse of time, there has been no progress in the trial. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to expedite the trial.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the

learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case particularly

that the case pertains to the year 2012 and despite the filing of the charge sheet in the year 2016, the trial is still pending, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate-II, Chengalpattu , to complete the trial in C.C.No.56 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible.
