Prayer :- This Criminal Appeal is filed Under Section 378 of Cr.P.C., to call for the records and set aside the judgment of the learned Principal Special Judge, (EC & NDPS Act Cases) Madurai dated 17.10.2016 in C.C.No.5 of 2005 and convict the respondent in accordance with law.

ORDER:- This Criminal Appeal coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.C.Arulvadivel @ Sekar, Special Public Prosecutor For Customs, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.S.Muniyandi, Advocate for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

By the order dated 10.06.2025, this Court issued a warrant against the

respondent and also gave a direction to produce him before this Court today (30.06.2025) to answer the question of sentence.

When the matter taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the

Customs Department seeks further time to comply with the order dated 10.06.2025.

3.Considering the same, this Court extends the time up to 21.07.2025;

otherwise, the Superintendent of Customs, Customs Preventive Unit, Nagercoil, shall appear before this Court along with an explanatory affidavit for not executing the warrant as per the order of this Court dated 10.06.2025.

4.Post this matter on 21.07.2025.
