The contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order of this Court dated 27.11.2025, made in W.P.(MD)No.21155 of 2015, wherein this

Court has directed the authorities to confer permanent status on the writ petitioner.

2.In compliance of the order of this Court, permanent status has been

conferred upon the writ petitioner and the arrears of salary has also been paid.

3.It is the grievance of the writ petitioner that though arrears have been paid, it has been paid belatedly and therefore, the petitioner is entitled to seek interest for the same. Since the Writ Court order does not provide for any payment of interest, this Court is not inclined to accept the said contentions in the contempt proceedings. However, it is open to the petitioner to approach the respondents concerned for payment of interest and in case of any non-payment, it is open to him, to challenge the same in the manner known to law.

4.Recording the same, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
