This Contempt petition has been filed to punish the contemnor/respondent for his wilful disobedience of the order of this Court made in W.P(MD) No.6938 of 2025, dated 02.04.2025.

This Court vide order dated 14.05.2025, directed the respondent to disburse the advance amount mentioned in the order, dated 02.04.2025 passed in W.P(MD) No.6938 of 2025 to the petitioner on that day itself and posted the case on 15.05.2025.

When the matter came up for hearing on 15.05.2025, the learned standing counsel appearing for TNSTC submitted that as per the order of this Court dated 14.05.2025, a sum of Rs.4,50,000/- was paid to the petitioner through Cheque No.980586, dated 14.05.2025 and this Court also directed the respondent to release a further sum of Rs.6,00,000/- to

the petitioner on or before 16.05.2025.

Pursuant to the order of this Court dated 15.05.2025, the respondent also issued a cheque for a sum of Rs.5,55,000/- to the petitioner vide Cheque No.980588, dated 15.05.2025.
