PRAYER : Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the contemnors / respondents herein for their deliberate and willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.20169 of 2024, dated 23.08.2024 and pass any such further or other orders as this Court.

The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of the order of this Court, dated 23.08.2024 made in W.P(MD)No.20169 of 2024, wherein, this Court has directed the respondents to confer the eligible benefits upon the writ petitioner arising out of 12(3) settlement, dated 04.01.2018 along with 6% interest.

2. In compliance with the order of this Court, the Management has issued proceedings on 27.06.2025 releasing difference in gratuity with 6% interest. However, it is the grievance of the writ petitioner, so far surrender leave salary has not been disbursed.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Transport

Corporation submits that the writ petitioner is not eligible to receive surrender leave salary. Since there is no positive order in the writ petition, the contempt
