This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order dated 03.01.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.35948 of 2023, thereby directing the respondent to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on the communication sent by the District Collector, Vellore, dated 27.04.2023, and to promote the petitioner to the post of Deputy Collector, within a period of twelve weeks.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that

the sole petitioner died and his legal heirs have to be impleded in this petition.

3 The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that though the petitioner died, the order passed by this Court has been complied with. He also produced a copy of the communication dated 01.06.2024 along with government order dated G.O.(Ms)No.380 Revenue and Disaster Management Department dated 21.07.2023 before this Court.
