This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. M/s.Ramya Rao, learned counsel for appellants and Mr.J.Chandran, Mr.T.Killivalavan and Mr.R.Ranganatha

Naidu, learned counsels for the 2 respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT

The claimant is on appeal, challenging the award of the Tribunal

for a sum of Rs.5,89,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Eighty Nine Rupees), for the injuries suffered by the claimant, in M.C.O.P.No.271 of 2021 dated 11.08.2025.

After negotiations, the parties have now amicably arrived at a settlement for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs only) as full quit over and above award by the Tribunal.

The 2 respondent is directed to deposit the above said accepted

amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs only) in full quit without interest, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this award.

On such deposit, the claimant/appellant is permitted to withdraw

¶35

the enhanced award amount without filing any formal petition, along with Tribunal award amount. Award is passed accordingly.

5.The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through

RTGS/NEFT to the parties concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed, if any.
