This case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. The learned counsel for the Appellant Mr.S.Arun Kumar, Mrs.Ramya V. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

2.This appeal has been filed by M/s.HDFC ERGO General Insurance Co. Ltd., as against the award passed by the Tribunal dated 11.03.2024 passed in M.C.O.P.No.257 of 2020.

3.The parties have now arrived at an amicable settlement, and the appellant/Insurance Company has now agreed to pay a sum of Rs.32,04,000/- (Rupees Thirty Two Laksh and Four Thousan only) in full quit to the claimants within a period of four weeks from today.

4.It is represented that the Insurance Company has deposited a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) to the credit of the MCOP.No.257 of 2020. The Insurance Company shall deposit a sum of Rs.32,04,000/- (Rupees Thirty Two Laksh and Four Thousan only) less the amount already deposited before the Tribunal, if any, within a period of four weeks from today, failing which the Insurance Company agreed to pay interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum. The said amount is agreed by respondents and are willing to apportion the total amount as per the apportionment before the Tribunal.
