This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to put the speaker and allow to play devotional songs daily in the temple, namely, Srithadaathagai Nachiamman and Muthiah Samy Temple.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the second respondent, on instructions, would submit that the Superintendent of Police is the competent authority to give such permission to put speaker to play the devotional sons. That apart, already there is a dispute between the two groups in respect of the petitioner's temple.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a representation to the Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District. On receipt of the said representation, the Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District is directed to conduct and enquiry and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law after issuance notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the representation.
