The Writ Petition had been filed in the nature of mandamus

seeking a direction against the respondents to grant 30 days leave to the husband of the petitioner Karnan, who is a convicted prisoner and now confined at Central Prison, Madurai, consequent to conviction in C.C.No. 185 of 2022 passed by the I Additional Special Court of NDPS Court. The petitioner's husband had been convicted under Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of NDPS Act and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for 10 years and fine of Rs.1,00,000/-. A representation has been given by the petitioner on 07.10.2024.

2.A direction is given to the respondents to pass orders on the representation given by the petitioner, dated 07.10.2024 within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Placing that direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
