3 . Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader has placed a letter dated 05.08.2024, addressed by the Commissioner of Land Administration to the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, seeking to remove an extent of 36.05.5 Hectares in Survey No.

609/11A of Therkutheru Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, from the Prohibitory Order Book [POB] so as to enable him to transfer the same to the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services for establishment of a new Central Prison, Special Prison for Women and Staff Quarters. The learned Government Pleader would also assure this Court that the needful will be done at the earliest.

4 . Recording the submission of the learned Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. If the project does not take off within three months, the petitioner will be entitled to seek reopening of the Writ Petition.
