This writ petition has been filed to direct the 2^nd respondent to conduct auction for allotment of shops in public fish market situated at east 3^rd street, Pudukkottai municipality after issuing proper notification and publicizing the same in dailies in accordance with law and subsequently allow the petitioner to participate in the said lawful auction by considering his representation dated 25.01.2022.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the 2^nd respondent, Mr.P.Mahendran submitted that the auction has already been conducted and license has been granted to one Mr.Saravanan and the period of the lease is also likely to be end by January 2025.

In view of the same, giving liberty to the petitioner to challenge the allotment order dated 25.01.2022, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
