This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to serve copies of the award.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is not served with a copy at any point of time, only when the petitioner applied for patta by letter dated 01.03.2020, the respondent has informed that the lands have been acquired. However, the copy of the award has not been furnished to the petitioner till date, despite the petitioner's representation. Hence, this writ petition.

The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that they will serve the the copy of the award to the petitioner.

Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. By

consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

the duty of the authorities to serve the copy to the parties concerned to enable them either to accept the compensation or to challenge the same in appropriate manner. Such view of the matter, there shall be a direction to the respondents to furnish a copy of the award to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
