This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of

Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the entire records relating to the impugned show-cause notice issued under Sub-Section 2 of Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act 1997 (TN Act 10 of 1999) dated 18.10.2023 on the file of the respondent and to quash the same.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

Once the Authority has issued show cause notice to the petitioners, it is for them, to approach the Authority and give reply/objections if any, as the case may be. The petitioners cannot challenge the show cause notice issued by the Authority in the writ

petition. This Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. However, if the petitioners appear before the Authority and give any reply to the show cause notice, the Authority shall consider the same and proceed in accordance with law.

With the abovesaid direction, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.6295 of 2024 is ordered on payment of separate court fees by each of the petitioners. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition in W.M.P.No.6296 of 2024 is closed.
